Philip Bohlman à l'EHESS

This topic comes from my research on Jewish music, and it concerns
Jewish film music from the eve of the Holocaust through World War II
until the early decade of the Cold War. In this paper I deal with a
great deal of politics and the sociology of music. It is largely
historical, though it benefits from my fieldwork and from my own
alternative career as a cabaret musician. The title for this
presentation is: "Jewish noir – Jewish Film Music between Utopia and
Dystopia.
